YOUR BEDROOM YOUR SANCTUARY
Our homes are our safe haven and retreat from our busy schedules and fast paced programs. This is where families come together after a hard days work. We prepare meals, plan for the next day, sort out the kids and if everything goes well you’re in bed by 10 pm.
We focus mostly on the front face of our home, to make it look attractive to our friends and visitors, but we often neglect the one place where we can hide from our fast paced routines, children and the chorus and pressures of our day to day living.
Our bedrooms are where all the noise calm down, where we can breath deep, revitalize and get a good rest for our next busy day. The bedroom is our sanctuary, our hide away from the busy world. Our beds are where we rest, where we close our eyes to sleep.
This is were we pray for a better tomorrow or say thank you for our good todays. For some this is where great businesses are born, where we dream big dreams, where we forget what was and plan for the best to come. Our bodies detoxifies, our brains get rid of unnecessary information and stores the important ones.
This is were you let your hair down, where you can just be you, but so often this is the place that is last on the list. Be mindful to make your bedroom your sanctuary. Create a calm and relaxing atmosphere by keeping your bedroom decluttered. Invite the fresh air in by opening your windows before you go to bed, even if just for half an hour. Invest in the best linen that you can afford. Keep it natural.
Go for organic cotton where possible as this is the purest form of natural fibre you can get. Pure cotton breaths well, keeps you cool in summer and warm in winter. The best choice for you and off course the environment. Make your bedroom a priority, because you are worth it! Think Pure, Marietjie
